Aurora Orchestra commissions Cultured Noise
Mike Sheppard has been commissioned by the Aurora Orchestra and publishers Boosey & Hawkes to create four new arrangements of well-known pieces by the British composer Gerald Finzi.
Several leading British composers have been invited to ‘re-imagine’ well-known works by Finzi, re-arranging and re-orchestrating them for a variety of solo instruments, including French Horn, Saxophone and Piano.
These pieces will feature on a forthcoming CD release on Decca Classics later this year.
